The NEW METRO partnership is an alliance of actors whose expertise and competence assure the coverage of the issues addressed and their concrete application. Considering the mechatronic area, all the organizations of the alliance have expressed a strong interest both to align the existing curricula addressed to Technicians in Mechatronic and to build an innovative training offer to be addressed to the workers of the mechatronic enterprises of their regions.
According to the Comunication of the European Commission “ Preparing for our future: Developing a common strategy for kets”, industries worldwide are changing with tremendous pace and are expected to be fully transformed in the next five to ten years a and a great prortion of products and services that will be available on the market in 2020 will be driven by Kets. Kets have already penetrated all aspects of our lives, KETs products are installed in virtually all technical equipment, ranging from dishwashers, microwave ovens, and flat screens to machine tools, their use in cars, aircrafts, ships is costaly expanding. Mobile phones, Pss, servers and pocket calculators owe their existence to KETs. The deployment of KETs in the EU is not only of sstrategic importance but is indispensable. New Metro contributes to ensure a good alignment of skills possessed by the current and future employees with industry requirements.
